Nicholas "Bolt" Bolton is a member of the Guardians of the Magic and a supporting character in Tenko and the Guardians of the Magic.
History[]
At some point, Bolt was recruited into the Guardians of the Magic by Hikita Tenko. He quickly befriended his fellow apprentices Steel and Hawk, and trained his body as well as his mind. After Jana and Jason Dark betrayed Master Hikita and attempted to steal the magical Starfire Gems, Bolt joined Steel and Hawk in driving the pair away from the mansion. Hikita rewarded the trio's courage with a gem for each of them, giving Bolt the Garnet Gem that enables him to conjure a magical sword. After Hikita's death, Bolt joined Steel and Hawk in trying to cheer up Princess Tenko by giving her a pet snow leopard, Ninjara.[1]
Bolt accompanied Tenko on several missions, including recruiting Ali,[2] traveling to Africa in search of the Diamond Gem,[3], and exploring the tomb of an ancient Egyptian ruler for the Cat's Eye Gem.[4]
Powers and abilities[]
Bolt is in possession of the Garnet Gem, granting him the ability to summon a magical sword to use in combat.
Like all of the Guardians of Magic, Bolt is a highly trained athlete and magician.

- Preliminary artwork for Bolt feature him as an Arabian swordsman vaguely resembling Disney's Aladdin.
- Promotional materials from fast food chain Taco Bell revealed Bolt's real name, though he is simply referred to as Bolt in the TV series.
